Okay… I know, I know… it’s Sunday, not Friday. Why am I possibly posting my “Friday Favorites” post today?? Well, I had the article scheduled to be posted on Friday while I was away on vacation out in the middle of nowhere visiting my husband’s family this weekend and for some strange reason, it didn’t. I wasn’t around civilization for a few days to be able to fix the issue. Ooops! So, I’m sorry for keeping everyone waiting. So without further delay, here are my favorite summer blushes!
It took me a while to get comfortable wearing blushes, I always felt that they made me look strange because of my pale skin. After I began playing around with different shades (with extreme trial and error!) I found that the right shades made me look less dead. Hooray! So, if you’re a mom who looks ultra-dead, like me…all the time… then you should definitely give these a try!
I first learned about this brand from Ipsy. (If you don’t know what Ipsy is, it’s a 10$ monthly subscription that sends you 4-5 trending beauty products in an adorable waterproof bag. Love!)
Anyway, back to the blush! This blush is the perfect Matte. Super shiny blushes tend to make me look really oily and especially in the summer, that’s a big no-no for me. This shade is a light pinky-peach and it’s ideal for simple looks. This blush blends well and it works for sensitive skin.
I’ve talked about Julep before in a post I did on their nail polishes. I love this brand! They also offer a monthly beauty box that I am subscribed to and this was one of the goodies they sent me.
At first, I was nervous because I’ve tried cream blushed before and they just make my skin feel gross, like goopy and Eww, just nope… but this one turns to a powder after you blend it in, taking the gooey feeling away. This shade is a soft shiny sand color and looks stunning in the light, making it a great color for the summertime.
Tell me about your favorite summer blushes, do you prefer matte shades or are you an ultra-gloss babe? Let me know in the comments. Also, if you enjoy my Friday Favorites posts, don’t forget to subscribe to my e-mail list, so you will be the first to know when the next post is coming! See ya next week!
